Azahara Muñoz has confirmed she will defend her Spanish Open title when it is held at Royal Guadalmina Golf Club from 21 to 24 September. Last year at Aloha, also in Marbella, she became the first Spanish player to win their home Open, after an epic final-day duel against American Beth Allen.
Speaking by video at the official presentation of the tournament, Muñoz said, “I am very pleased that the Spanish Open is once again being held in Andalucía, and specifically at my home club, Royal Guadalmina.”
The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España Femenino will be the 14th event of the 2017 Ladies European Tour schedule.
