The La Cañada course in San Roque, a spectacular design by Robert Trent Jones and Dave Thomas, was the magnificent setting for one of the rounds of the XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’.

There was a wind that influenced the game, without being excessive, and that favoured the thermal sensation to be optimal.

There was a full house and a good balance between members and visitors: 54 members and 41 visitors. The ratio between players in the first category (45 players) and in the second category (50) was also very even. The course was in excellent condition, with very good greens and very well presented in general. The players enjoyed San Miguel beers on the course and at the cocktail party served in the Club House for the prize giving.

The prize-giving was presented by the Club's manager, Jaime Ravina, who also won the scratch prize after being one stroke under par on the course. The prize was presented to him by Javier Cochón, regional director of Mahou San Miguel in Andalucía. Gabriela Jones, from the golf boutique in Puerto Banús Fairway + Blue, also took part in the prize-giving ceremony and presented the winners with some of the shop's garments.
