The opening of a new golf course is always great news. And if it’s on the Costa del Sol, where no 18-hole course has been inaugurated for almost a decade, it’s even better.

Located in Estepona municipality, in a privileged setting between Marbella and Sotogrande, Azata Golf thus enhances the extensive range of Costa del Sol courses (more than 70) that has made this stretch of the Andalucian coastline one of the finest golf tourist destinations in the world.

It was on 25 June when the well-maintained and attractive fairways of Azata Golf began to receive their first visitors, and the impression they took home from the course could not have been more impressive, according to director Agustín Alonso. "I could not be happier, really, because all the comments are very positive."

To publicise the new Costa del Sol golf course among as many players as possible, the management has launched attractive opening options for both green fees and season tickets. "People who come here will be delighted, and I am sure that many will return," says Alonso.

In fact, there are already quite a few who have been so satisfied they didn’t hesitate to take up the club’s special subscription offers.

"We opened with great enthusiasm," says Alonso, "doing all we could to make sure everything was perfect, to offer an attractive course, a fun course to play, and we believe people will not be disappointed."

The club currently has a putting green and an approach area, and will soon have a driving range (currently under construction) in front of the clubhouse.

Opening Offers

To mark its opening, Azata Golf launched several very advantageous offers for both green fees and season tickets.

This summer it is possible to enjoy the new course from just €35, playing from 4pm. Another great offer is two green fees with bubby included for only €100. There are also packages of five or 10 green fees with buggy or electric cart included for €215 and €410, respectively.

In addition, there are monthly (€375), quarterly (€650), half-year (€900) and annual subscriptions, the latter costing €1,600 with a buggy or €1,400 without; and, in the case of couples, €2,900 with a buggy and €2,600 without.
