Since last March, The San Roque Club has become part of Golf Estate which is a golf management, development and marketing company. It is the first intermediary manager of golf and club operations in Russia.
Last Saturday 30th March, a Member´s General Meeting took place at the club where Golf Estate President, Dmitry Kozachenko and Project Director Stephen Dundas officially announced that The San Roque Club is another challenging project by Golf Estate.
At the moment Golf Estate operates two golf clubs in Russia so this means that San Roque Club has been added to this list, being the first golf club managed in Spain. As Project Director Stephen Dundas declared, this is a historical moment for San Roque Club and the reason why they decided to buy this club is when they knew that the members were trying to organize a Members Buy Out. This showed them how much members care of their club.
Among the short and long terms projects for San Roque Club, it is worth mentioning the investments and remodeling works on the whole Old Course, starting with the front 9 holes this year 2019, so that by end of June 2021 the course is fully renovated (new bunkers, new irrigation system...).
In this ambitious project, both the Clubhouse and the Restaurant facilities will also experiment great improvements, with the aim to maximize the functional aspect in these main areas. The plan for the Tony Jacklin House is to turn it into a nice boutique hotel offering an exclusive service in this area.
After a very informative General Meeting, San Roque Captain and Lady Captain, who were part of the presidential table, as well as all the members present at the meeting expressed their excitement and gratitude to Golf Estate for these wonderful plans.
In words of the Project Director, Stephen Dundas, “the intention is to turn San Roque Club into that amazing place of which members feel proud of and to where visitors are looking forward to coming back soon”. Stephen Dundas assures that San Roque has all the potential to become one of the best golf clubs and holiday destination at national and international levels offering an affordable quality.
