Estepona Golf is a pay and play facility offering a round of golf in a magnificent setting on a demanding course. The fairways, however, are wide and the greens are large so the secret is probably not to be too ambitious. The design uses the natural landscape set against the Sierra Bermeja mountains. There are sea views from most holes. The 3rd is newly modified hole which now gives players a bird’s-eye view of their drive as it works its way down the 70 metre drop towards the green! Now a par 4, the 3th hole has spectacular views of the coast as well as Gibraltar and north of Africa.. The par-4 10th with its high tee offers braver souls the option of going for the green 250 metres away. It’s all downhill, curving to the left, and there’s water on both sides of the green. Later you come to the par-3 14th where you are expected to thread the needle uphill to a green nearly two hundred metres across a ravine. Every hole brings a new challenge. The clubhouse overlooks the 18th green and beyond to the Mediterranean. Try the excellent cuisine or buy something in the reasonably priced golf shop. Estepona Golf is one of the most popular and friendliest along the coast.

HOW TO GET THERE

Heading towards Algeciras there is a turnoff to the right at kilometre 150 of the coastal highway, just past Estepona. The golf course is about 2 kilometres from here.
